Make the most out of your time at the RSA Conference. Our workshops will be hands-on, interactive sessions where delegates can actively engage in learning and skill-building activities. Each workshop will be designed to provide practical and experiential learning opportunities, focusing on the specific topic, skill, or technology relevant to your session.
Pre-Conference Workshops are an additional fee to your conference registration. Workshops can be booked via the Registration Portal.

Workshop 1: Vascular Access
ARM (Assessment, Review and Mapping of Vascular Access) Workshop

Overview
This practical workshop will guide delegates through the fundamental and advanced components of vascular access assessment in haemodialysis, with a strong focus on integrating ultrasound into routine clinical practice. Participants will learn how to assess fistulas and grafts, identify common issues, and perform structured arm scans to support identification of normal anatomy, early detection of issues and access complications. Through hands-on practice and real-time demonstrations, this session aims to build confidence and competence in performing vascular access assessments that enhance patient safety and haemodialysis outcomes.

Presentations will explore strategies to increase patient numbers in home dialysis, the role of allied health in patient care, and essential clinical considerations, including nocturnal dialysis and core knowledge for home dialysis nurses.
