Monica Schoch is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Deakin University, based at the Waterfront campus. She is Deputy Director of Clinical Studies and Course Director for the Bachelor of Nursing (Honours). Monica completed her PhD in 2023 on point-of-care ultrasound for haemodialysis cannulation, with research interests in chronic illness, vascular access, education, e-learning, and generative AI. She has delivered more than 15 national and international conference presentations and is a recognised speaker on renal vascular access. Prior to academia, Monica held leadership roles in vascular access education, coordination, and workshop facilitation across Australia and New Zealand.
