Hello, my name is Dolores, (better known as Dolly), Ramsamy.  I am a Nurse Practitioner with Renal Services at Mackay Hospital and Health Service, working in Kidney Supportive Care.

I have been a part of Qld Health for the past 25 years, commencing my journey as a Paramedic with the QAS before transitioning from paramedic to registered nurse in 2008, this is where my renal journey began.  

Having worked in all aspects of Renal, I complete my Nurse Practitioner degree in 2021 and secured an NP position to establish the Kidney Supportive Care program (KSCp) in 2022.

As the KSCp was new to Mackay HHS it was essential to ensure all data was captured at conception.  It became apparent that MHHS did not have a secure, reliable database which leads me to today’s presentation.
