I have been nursing for over thirty years; fifteen years in the NHS, and sixteen years in Australia. I have had the opportunity to work in all areas of Nephrology, however, my passion lies with vascular access.

 

I am currently a Vascular Access Nurse in the Haemodialysis unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.

 

I enjoy the day-to-day challenges of the surveillance and maintenance of these very important lifelines. Through these challenges I have had the opportunity to build an extensive support network enabling prompt and timely interventions for dialysis patients that require intervention to prevent access loss.
