Associate Nurse Unit Manager

Professional Bio

Born and raised in Zambia Ms. Mbololwa Nancy Mwauluka is an associate nurse unit manager  (ANUM) at Eastern Health where she leads a team of registered nurses and clinical nurse specialists and a renal nurse at Western Health. For example she was instrumental in implementing the medication safety initiative in the unit at Angliss RDU when she observed that nurses omitted to complete the the medication administration process - double checking process (i.e., both nurses double signed the medication chart) and since this problem was systemic in the dialysis units across the organisation it led to the rollout of a new medication chart across Eastern Health Integrated Renal Service (EHIRS).

Ms. Mwauluka earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), a postgraduate certificate in renal nursing from La Trobe University, and a Master of Advanced Nursing degree from Monash University. After completing her bachelor degree, she commenced her nursing career through a graduate nurse program in 2006 at Royal Melbourne Hospital and postgraduate certificate clinical component of the course in 2011 was at Austin Health.

Some of Ms. Mwauluka’s hobbies include reading novels, listening to jazz music, loves the beach, boxing, bike riding, and travelling
