Professional Bio
Melissa Arnold-Ujvari is a renal nurse and education specialist with experience both working clinically and teaching within Australia and the United Kingdom. She is a Senior Lecturer and Director Pre-Registration Programs within the University of Adelaide's Nursing School, based on Kaurna Yarta. Melissa's focus is on cultural safety and improving health care and outcomes for and with First Nations people. She has worked within the AKction team since 2018, focusing on improving outcomes for First Nations Australians and embedding cultural safety within renal clinical care. Melissa is completing a PhD "The emergence and translation of cultural safety education into renal nursing care in South Australia."
